Decks and porches

Designed, permitted, and built — including the ledger detail that keeps it attached.

Deck collapses almost always come down to one detail: how the ledger board attaches to the house. Nails and a bead of caulk are still common and still wrong. We through-bolt or use structural screws, flash the ledger, and keep water out of the rim joist.

We handle the design and the permit alongside the build, so you are not chasing drawings and inspections yourself.

Material is worth a real conversation. Pressure-treated pine is cheapest up front and needs ongoing work; composite costs more and mostly does not. Neither is the right answer for everyone.
